Anuradhapura to Sigiriya
A shorter drive south to Sigiriya, with the afternoon free to explore.
- Climb the UNESCO-listed Sigiriya Rock Fortress — frescoes, the Mirror Wall, and 5th-century palace ruins
- Visit the Dambulla Cave Temple en route
Sigiriya to Kandy
A scenic drive into the central highlands to Sri Lanka's last royal capital.

Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
Climb into "Little England" — Sri Lanka's cool-climate hill station, once the Ceylon tea industry's colonial retreat.

A longer drive south from the hills down to the coast (roughly 5-6 hours), arriving at the historic fort town of Galle.

A full day exploring this UNESCO-listed Dutch colonial fort town, one of the best-preserved examples of a fortified city built by European colonial powers in South Asia.
